The Chalet
Chalet Val D’Abondance is located in La Pesse, between La Chapelle D’Abondance and Chatel, a traditional French Ski Resort at the heart of the Portes Du Soleil ski area, with links to Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets, Morgins, and Les Crosets.
The town is situated south of Lake Geneva, only 45 miles from the centre of Geneva itself. Transfers by road from Geneva Airport are a very scenic 90 minutes.
Directions
From Thonon-les-Bains:
As you drive through the Abondance Valley, in the direction of Chatel, you will arrive at La Chapelle D’Abondance. Drive through the village, to reach a roundabout, where you should turn left following signs for Chatel. Take the first right down Route de La Pesse, which is before the first corner. Continue along this single lane road, and you will find the chalet and car park on the right.
From Monthey:
Climb the twisty road from Monthey, following signs for Morgins, and then Chatel. Once you have crossed into France at the Pas de Morgins, you will descend into the town of Chatel. Continue on the same road through Chatel, following signs for La Chapelle D’Abondance, until you reach a roundabout at the valley bottom. Go around the roundabout, as if you are returning back to Chatel, and take the first right down Route de La Pesse, which is before the first corner. Continue along this single lane road, and you will find the chalet and car park on the right.
